CLEARED HOT: Chief of Staff slams congressman for insulting service

Congressman Luis Gutierrez insults Chief of Staff

Following the announcement of the Trump administration phasing out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy on immigration, Democratic Congressmen Luis Gutierrez insulted the administrations Chief of Staff, Marine Gen. John Kelly. Stating that the Chief of Staff has “no honor” and is a “disgrace to the uniform.” The remarks came after the current administration decided that the DACA policy would be phased out, and left it up to Congress to make the policy into law.

Outraged, democratic Congressman Gutierrez personally attacked General Kelly by saying that he is “a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House.”

In an email sent to Fox News during the weekend, Gen. Kelly stated that Congress “did nothing” to help when they “had the chance.”

The Chief of Staff further stated:

“As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want, as they do nothing and have almost no responsibility. They can call people liars but it would be inappropriate for me to say the same thing back at them. As my blessed mother used to say, ‘empty barrels make the most noise.’”

The retired Marine added that “the congressman has a right to his opinion” in the email to Fox News.
